Maintenance Associate


POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks and repairs in various areas, including ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other commonly required maintenance skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the apartment or hotel industry. Your attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills will be crucial in prioritizing and executing maintenance tasks efficiently. This is a full-time position that may require participation in an on-call schedule and weekend work.

OBJECTIVES
● Prioritize and execute maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner. ● Ensure the proper functioning and safety of all equipment and systems. ● Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
● Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
● Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory.
● Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance projects and ensure smooth operations.
● Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment. ● Continuously improve knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development.
● Manage and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
● Provide exceptional customer service to residents or guests by addressing maintenance concerns promptly and effectively.
● Assist in the implementation of energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
● Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by fostering open communication and cooperation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the apartment or hotel industry. ● Certification or training in relevant maintenance fields is a plus.
● Bilingual: English and Spanish (Preferred)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to maintenance work.
● Stamina to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods. ●
● Flexibility to work in confined spaces and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed. ● Good vision and hand-eye coordination to perform precise repairs and maintenance tasks.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
● Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends (as needed).
